The conveyor system of the coating production line is generally composed of conveyors, conveyor tracks (including tensioning devices), conveyor chains, workpiece carriers, and other equipment. In some heavy or ultra large workpiece production lines, the conveying system runs through the entire coating production line from the loading-on part, pre-treatment, oven, painting room, and loading-off part area, maintaining the operation of the entire line. In the process of designing and formulating the painting line plan in the early stage, different conveying systems should be designed based on factors such as the size and structure of the factory building, as well as the structural form, size, and weight of the workpiece.
For different types of workpieces, the types of conveyor chains generally include lightweight suspension chains (for relatively light and small workpieces), regular chains (for workpieces with normal weight or less complex structure), and cross-shaped conveyor chains (more sturdy than regular chains). For workpieces with overweight, oversized or irregular structures and more complex workpieces, it is also possible to design whether to use auto- hoist or power and free conveyor chains to transport workpieces. Different conveyor chains are equipped with different specifications of conveyors. According to the actual situation of the factory, the characteristics of the workpiece, and customer needs, the conveyor track can be designed in the form of slots in the air, ground, or underground. Workpiece transportation tools will also use manual handling, electric trolleys, elevators, ground flatbed trucks, and other tools according to different requirements.
